Marc Sanderson is the Director of International Economic Development for the City of Málaga, where he is responsible for strengthening the city’s global profile, particularly in the United States, and positioning Málaga as a benchmark for knowledge and innovation. He works closely with Mayor Francisco de la Torre to advance this international strategy.

Previously, Sanderson served as Chief of Staff to the United States Ambassador to Spain and Andorra, playing a key role in bilateral relations. Earlier in his career, he worked at the Department of Homeland Security as Special Assistant to the Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, where he supported the integration of immigration services into DHS and coordinated high-level interagency initiatives.
